Real-time Alarms & Notifications
ZoneMinder 1.22.3 features instant filters that can now be used to execute actions such as emailing or deleting events directly without being saved as a background polling filter.
Why?
- Devices like mobile phones make SMS an acceptable method of communicating events.
- Push devices like Blackberrys make email an excellent method of instant intrusion notification.
- Audio alerts from the ZM server can be useful.
- Running other commands instantly on alarm can be useful.
Examples
- Send SMS messages through email gateways, like teleflip.com.
- Sound an audibe alarm on the server.
- Send email instantly containing event information & snapshot.
- Instantly trigger events elsewhere using xAP or X10.
