ZoneMinder 1.22.3 features instant filters that can now be used to execute actions such as emailing or deleting events directly without being saved as a background polling filter.

Why?

1. Devices like mobile phones make SMS an acceptable method of communicating events.
2. Push devices like Blackberrys make email an excellent method of instant intrusion notification.
3. Audio alerts from the ZM server can be useful.
4. Running other commands instantly on alarm can be useful.

Examples

• Send SMS messages through email gateways, like teleflip.com.
• Sound an audibe alarm on the server.
• Send email instantly containing event information & snapshot.
• Instantly trigger events elsewhere using xAP or X10.
