Foscam FI8602W

This Foscam wireless/wired IP camera which supports h264, audio in/out and PTZ controls. It uses ActiveX applets for the majority of functions such as web preview, brightness/contrast settings, etc., however it also provides an RTSP interface which can be set up with Zoneminder.

Using FI8602W with Zoneminder

First enable the RTSP port in the camera setup. The default is already enabled on port 554.

Since the camera does not allow blank passwords, it is critical to change password for admin/user/guest to values we can pass. You can test this from mplayer using the following url's:

First stream

mplayer rtsp://username:password@x.x.x.x/11

Second stream

mplayer rtsp://username:password@x.x.x.x/12

Configuration in Zoneminder ffmpeg

NOTE: Version of ffmpeg prior to 0.7.3 seem to have problems parsing the h264 stream from this camera.
