Exporting images to Video

There are many ways to export to Video. Zone minder offers its own options and many users have written simple scripts combining images to videos. I noticed user kkrofft post this thread: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23007 I don't like any solution yet as most of them eat up CPU.
